Park Shin Hye and Lee Hong Ki channel their real-life friendship into a tumultuous on-screen romance for the "Insensible" music video.
On November 17, FNC Entertainment released the debut solo single from the popular FTISLAND member. The five-minute, 14-second video provides a montage of romantic moments, interspersed with scenes where the stars are embroiled in relationship conflicts.
Audiences reacted positively to the release, with Korean drama fans correlating their performance with their dynamic in the 2009 musical series, "You're Beautiful."
"Those two need to be in a drama together, where she [Park Shin Hye] falls in love with him [Lee Hong Ki] and not Jang Geun Suk," said YouTube commenter Tahira Zerin, in reaction to the music video. "They look so cute together."
His portrayal of Jeremy, the lovable and child-like member of the fictitious idol group, A.N.JELL, drew fans towards Lee Hong Ki. Park Shin Hye also experienced explosive popularity following the series, with viewers praising her performance in the dual roles of Go Mi Nyeo, a nun-in-training, and her pop star brother, Go Mi Nam.
Lee discussed the release of his first solo album, "FM302," during a debut showcase at the Yes24 Muv Hall, on November 18. When he was asked why his label mate and "You're Beautiful" co-star, Jung Yong Hwa, released his solo album prior to him, Lee provided a humble answer.
"To be honest, I never thought of releasing a solo album," said Lee. "I only thought about FTISLAND's music."
"FM302" is a six-track album that reflects his strength as a pop-rock balladeer. While he has previously appeared on K-Drama soundtracks including "The Heirs" and "Bride of the Century," "FM302," marks his first solo release.
