The film "Broker" has wrapped up its casting and began filming on February 4. The crime thriller stars Kim Young Kwang, Lee Sung Kyung and Im Joo Hwan.
The film focuses on the murder of a defense minister's daughter and the lawyers who work on the case.
Kim Young Kwang plays Choi Sang Min, the best and most popular lawyer in his law firm. As Choi Sang Min is assigned the firm's most important cases, he is given this case. His investigation of the murder leads him to seek help from an unexpected source.
Lee Sung Kyung plays Cha Yeong Hee, a court-appointed lawyer who winds up working with Choi Sang Min on the case.
Im Joo Hwan plays Han Sung Ho, a news producer in a broadcasting company.
Kim Young Kwang is best known for playing the second lead that wooed Park Shin Hye in the drama "Pinocchio" and he also played a man who did not know he was in love with his co-worker in "Nine Plus Boys." His previous films include "Hot Young Bloods" with his other "Pinocchio" co-star Lee Jong Suk and the film "Runway Cop."
Lee Sung Kyung is known for her role as Lee Kwang Soo's girlfriend in "It's Okay That's Love." She currently plays the vindictive Baek In Ha in the manhwa-turned-drama "Cheese in the Trap." "Broker" is her first film.
Im Joo Hwan appeared in the film "The Con Artist" and was last seen on the small screen in the paranormal drama "Oh My Ghostess." He was also cast in the drama "Uncontrollably Fond," starring Suzy Bae and Kim Woo Bin.
The film also stars Chun Ho Jin, Go Chang Suk and Jo Dal Hwan in supporting roles.
Kim Hong Sun, who directed the film "The Pied Piper," will direct "Broker." Im Joo Hwan previously worked with Kim on the film "The Con Artists."
"Broker" has a 2016 release date.
