The next day, there was information or news that other celebrities were being hacked and blackmailed as well.

And even though the agency of the actor had tried to ask the reporters, the fans and netizens to refrain from spreading news and rumors that violated the privacy of Joo Jin Mo. The hacked message has been getting a lot of attention from different online communities.

The following stated is Huayi Brothers' new statement regarding the issue:

"Hi. This is Huayi Brothers. We call everyone's attention about our artist Joo Jin Mo. His personal information is currently being spread online through various SNS and applications. Please stop spreading these posts. We plan to take strong legal action and request a formal investigation into various situations, including the spread of certain information. Upon investigating, dispatch stated in their report that the hacking was done trough the Samsung Cloud. This application is a storage service that is associated with the cell phone company SAMSUNG. Responding to the allegations, Samsung Electronics released a statement on January 10 through its user community "Samsung Members."

The statement of Samsung states that unlike what it says in a recent report, neither the Samsung Galaxy phone nor the Samsung Cloud service was hacked. They speculate that this incident happened after the specific users' account information was revealed through an external leak. The Samsung Company said that as long as your user ID and password remain undisclosed, your personal information saved to Samsung Cloud will be protected according to the privacy agreement.

The police are also involved in investigating the case. And with the Cyber Security department of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency claiming that they are currently investigating the smartphone hacking and blackmail of various celebrities. And In order to protect the privacy of the victims, they cannot give divulge details.

We just all hope that the suspect will pay the price for what he has done. And the victims will gain the justice they deserve.
