Actress Han So-hee, the star of the Netflix series 'Gyeongseong Creature,' opens up about the unexpected backlash she received after posting a photo of Dr. Ahn Jung-geun on her Instagram account. 

The controversy arose following the release of Part 1 of the series, where Han So-hee portrays the character Yoon Chae-ok, known for her ability to find the deceased.

In an interview with Ten Asia at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Han So-hee explained her motivation behind the controversial post.

She clarified that the photo was taken next to a large picture of Dr. Ahn Jung-geun, and she shared it to highlight various aspects of the series beyond the central love story.

Addressing the misinterpretations, she expressed disappointment that the focus shifted away from the broader themes the show intended to explore.

The actress acknowledged the criticism from Japanese netizens but also expressed gratitude for those who acknowledged the courage it took to share her thoughts. 

'It's sad, but it's the truth,' she also commented on Instagram.

Han So-hee revealed that she received warm comments and even reached out to Japanese fans directly through DMs, urging them not to be hurt by the incident.

In response to a Japanese fan's comment, she appreciated the understanding and shared her perspective, emphasizing that she didn't post with calculated impact but as a genuine expression of her thoughts.

Han So-hee concluded, stating, "I posted my thoughts in my personal space. I did not post it after calculating the impact. Looking at the reactions, I realized that there are people who think this way.I respect everything."

Her calm and thoughtful response underscores her commitment to expressing her views while acknowledging diverse opinions surrounding the series.
