"The Atypical Family" star Jang Ki Yong took a trip down memory lane and recalled the fondest moments he had when he was young. 

The South Korean heartthrob appeared as a guest on "Salon Drip" Season 2 along with co-star Chun Woo Hee. 

Ahead of the drama's highly-anticipated release date, the lead stars talked about their roles and similarities with their characters.

In "The Atypical Family," Jang Ki Yong takes on the character of Bok Gwi Joo, who is described as a "depressed time traveler."

Belonged to a family with supernatural powers, he used to be a passionate firefighter with a strong sense of calling, but that drastically changed due to an incident.

Other than this, Bok Gwi Joo also lost his ability to travel back in time. 

Meanwhile, "Salon Drip" season 2 host Jang Do Yeon got curious and asked Jang Ki Yong what would be the happiest moment in his life that he wants to revisit if given a chance. 

Without having second thoughts, the actor said that he'd like to go back to his school days.

According to Jang Ki Yong, it was the stage in his life where he felt "comfortable" and experienced having no problems. 

The actor also added that the only thing that he had to do at the time was study and play. 

"When I was free of worries and full of confidence, those were my school days. Those were the times when I ate lunch during lunch, played soccer, and spent every day without worries.Just thinking about those times makes me feel happy."

As for his "The Atypical Family" co-star, Chun Woo Hee expressed satisfaction in her life, but if there's one moment that she would like to revisit, it would be the "unhappiest" part of her life. 

"The current situation is not perfect, but I am satisfied. However, if I have to go, I will go to a time when I was unhappy and change it."

Directed by Cho Hyun Tak, the genius behind hit K-dramas "SKY Castle,"  along with screenwriters Joo Hwa Mi of "Marriage, Not Dating" and Kang Eun Kyung of "Dr. Romantic" series, "The Atypical Family," is a romance fantasy K-drama that showcases a family with supernatural powers. 

Among the members is Bok Gwi Joo, played by Jang Ki Yong, who lost his powers to turn back time because of an incident.

While at the lowest point of his life, he meets Do Da Hae, portrayed by Chun Woo Hee, a mysterious woman who helped Bok Gwi Joo get out of a slump.

Viewers get to see the duo's team-up as "The Atypical Family" release date is set for May 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST, via JTBC.
