Song Ji-eun Gets Candid About How Her Parents Reacted to Her Fiancé: 'My Mom Seems To Like Him'

In a recent episode of MBC's talk show 'Radio Star', singer and actress Song Ji-eun opened up about her relationship with her fiancé, Park Wi, a paraplegic YouTuber, revealing touching moments and surprising reactions from her parents.

During her appearance on the show, Song Ji-eun expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she and Park Wi received from the entertainment industry after announcing their engagement.

She shared, "Since we shared the news, people have been contacting me and offering to host our wedding or sing at the ceremony to celebrate the occasion."

One of the most surprising revelations came when Song Ji-eun discussed her parents' reaction to her relationship with Park Wi. She recounted,

 "My dad told me to have a beautiful relationship with him. My mom asked me, 'How did you get to know WERACLE (Park Wi's YouTube channel)?'. It turned out that one of the two YouTube channels my mom subscribed to was his! She knew more about Park Wi's daily life than I did."

Song Ji-eun also shared that Park Wi frequently contacts her mother and expresses affection towards her, leading her mother to develop a strong bond with him. "Now my mom seems to like him more than me," she proudly remarked.

Despite initial concerns about societal perceptions, Song Ji-eun admitted that people often praise her for marrying Park Wi, who lives in a wheelchair.

However, she clarified, "His disability was not something I thought about when I decided to marry him. I didn't care about it. So, people praising me about it made me feel a bit awkward."

Reflecting on her relationship, Song Ji-eun highlighted the kindness of Park Wi's mother, who welcomed her with open arms. She recalled a heartwarming gesture when Park Wi's mother gifted her lace pajamas and a plethora of clothes from her own closet.

 "It was such a kind gesture," Song Ji-eun said with a smile, emphasizing the warmth and acceptance she has received from her fiancé's family.

Song Ji-eun and Park Wi made their relationship public in December and recently announced their plans to tie the knot on October 9 in a wedding ceremony, marking the next chapter in their love story.
