Sex and the City 3 has been a long time coming, but the movie's lead star, Sarah Jessica Parker, still wants it to happen. The actress recently discussed the possibility in an interview with InStyle magazine for its February 2014 issue, where she said, "A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell. But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn't a decision that can wait forever. I don't want to have to wear muumuus!"
This isn't the first time that Parker - who played the iconic character Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City films and TV show - has talked about a third movie. Back in May 2013, she said that another movie would be "wonderful" in an interview with Extra. "I've been saying... there is one story left to tell. If it's, in fact, the right time and the right place that maybe we should tell it."
Her castmate Kristin Davis - who played Charlotte York - seems to be in agreement as well. The actress made headlines just this December when a Haute Living article said she hinted at a third movie. "I don't think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion. People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don't know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did."
The two will have to convince their former castmate Cynthia Nixon however, who hasn't seemed too keen about a third movie in the past. Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes in the franchise, spoke about it back in October 2012, in an exchange with The Hollywood Reporter. "No, no. I think we had a wonderful ride. I think it's fine to let it go," she said. There has been no word so far about what Kim Cattrall - the actress who played Samantha Jones - has to say about the matter.
