After Sarah Jessica Parker hinted toward a "Sex and the City 3" movie in an interview with InStyle magazine, Kim Cattrall decided to speak on the possibility.

Cattrall, who plays the sex-craved Samantha, stressed that the deciding factor is the "content."

"I feel the most important thing is always, do we have something left to say," Cattrall, 57, tells ET Canada. " ... I think it's about the story, if there's something more to say ... [but] I'm not a writer and I don't work in a studio."

Parker suggested that there is more to the story of the dynamic foursome.

"A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell," Parker, 48, said. "But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!"

Cattrall did admit that it would definitely be a boost to her bank account.

"Yes, financially it would be fantastic -- for all of us," she said. "But I'm really about content, and where's it going to take me."

Last June, Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, also told ET that she was willing to do another movie.

"I would want to do it," Davis, 48, said. "I'm on record -- I'll be on record again -- I feel like it's the gift that keeps on giving. Our fans are beautiful and loyal and talk to me wherever I go, and in whatever country I'm in, and that means a lot to all of us. So if the situation arose where we had a script and everyone loved it, and the studio wanted to make it, I think that it would be fantastic and I hope it happens but I have no idea if it will happen."

On the other hand, Cynthia Nixon, 47, who played Miranda, is content with leaving "Sex and the City" where it is.

"I think we had a wonderful ride. I think it's fine to let it go," she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012.
