Android 4.4 Kitkat problems are flipping out Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users after they've already been through one upgrade.
In some parts of the world and among some Android smartphones, the Android 4.4 KitKat has yet to arrive, or is gradually arriving at any minute now, according to reports on the Internet.
According to a report by androidpit, some Galaxy Note 3 users have been experiencing email, contact sync faux pas, battery drainage, Wifi connectivity issues, and freezing apps. And this after updating to Android 4.4.2 KitKat?
Loie Favre, Manager and Editor for AndroitPit says if you have these issues on your Galaxy Note 3, suffice it to say that it stems from your Android 4.4.2 update - as antithetical as that sounds.
However, some users have reported that the previous update is non problematic.
At any rate, some of your KitKat woes may be quelled with these helpful steps:
If you're having trouble saving your apps to a SD card, then try one of these protocols -
Use this tutorial, "how to save to the SD card with Android 4.4. KitKat" to guide you through to saving on your SD card, an option that the update has removed.
A second option would be to install Folder Mount.
For problems with battery drainage,
Conduct a Factory Reset
Use a Battery Efficiency App from Google Play such as Juice Defender.
WiFi problems after an update might go away after trying this -
Disconnect Automatic Scanning
Hit Forget after you have found a Wifi signal, deactivate and reactivate by filling in Wifi information from scratch
If you're apps aren't working after installing the Android 4.4.2 and if the same apps were working on JellyBean Android 4.3, then try this;
Reinstall the app
Go to Settings and Accounts and Google and sync.
There is a rare chance that the app in question does not work with Android 4.4.2, but this is 'rare,' according to AndroidPit.
Email and contact syncs seem to be the biggest problem for Galaxy Note 3 users on an Android KitKat update;
Scoot over to Settings, then Accounts and Google, and select your Google account. Turn on automatic sync on all of your Gmail accounts.
Do the same process again and Automatic Save Google+ this time.
- Make sure that the sync is activated.
