Space Jam 2 Rumors: What should be a fun sequel to Space Jam is having a real challenge to the 'Tune Squad', as many fans would agree. Although the outcome of the game in Space Jam was close and won by Michael Jordan's impossible Slam Dunk, it would be interesting to see them play a team on equal footing; meaning, play a team which will have its own fair share of fan base.
Speculations are spreading that a Space Jam Sequel is being discussed and LeBron James will be part of the film. However, he is denying any involvement as of this moment.
"It's news to me," the Miami Heat superstar told Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "I haven't heard anything about it. Like I said, I've always loved Space Jam. It was one of my favorite movies growing up. If I have the opportunity, it will be great. But that's news to me. Obviously, I don't want to be on there with this thing on my nose. We'll see what happens."
Although the plot is still unknown, the ideas being thrown around are that either King James or Kevin Durant will be part of the new Monstars squad as a recruit and will face the other's Tune Squad. This will be very interesting since Kevin Durant just won his first MVP award; also, he already starred in a basketball film titled 'Thunderstruck' so another basketball film is not impossible at all.
Another angle that is being discussed is that the CGI Michael Jordan will be the clone made by the Monstars, and since MJ has long been retired, the Tune Squad will have to find their new captain and hero, which eventually will be LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Better, two of them against MJ!
