The top American music competition on live television finally announces the grand champion of The Voice Season 6! Congratulations to Team Usher's "Soul Man" Josh Kaufman of Indianapolis as he was declared as The Voice Season 6 winner!
Last Tuesday night, everyone's all eyes on the top three finalists of The Voice Season 6 which also includes Christina Grimmie of Team Adam Levine and Jake Worthington of Team Blake Shelton. All finalists of The Voice Season 6 had sung their hearts out to win their coaches' hearts and people's votes. However, much like other competitions out there, only one will be declared as The Voice Season 6 winner - Josh Kaufman ultimately won the American votes and as his victory was announced by show host Carson Daly, Josh revealed to USA Today that he "can't even talk" about his success and that he was overwhelmed, surprised, relieved and very happy!
Aside from winning the much-deserved recording contract, Kaufman, a happily married SAT tutor with three kids, will join the tour this summer along with the two finalists and crowd favorite Kristen Merlin. The upcoming tour will have 31 shows around the country and they will be joined by Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin and finalists Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin and as well as Season 1 favorite Dia Frampton.
Meanwhile, coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will return in the next season of The Voice this fall and they will be joined with new coaches, singer and former No Doubt vocalist Gwen Stefani and music producer Pharrell Williams, as Season 6 coaches Shakira and Usher have to take a temporary leave from the show.
