With all the online buzz about the "Inhumans" movie news nowadays, Marvel universe fans may find it hard to believe that the superhuman team's entrance to filmdom was given the thumbs down 14 years ago.

Ever since, Bleeding Cool has been tailing the progress of the "Inhumans" movie news from the time they became a top property of Marvel comics, which opened doors for a film adaptation, until present.

Marvel had acquired the rights to "Inhumans" and the "Inhumanity" crossover to compete with the "X-men" comic books. At that time, Fox had purchased the rights to "X-men" and "The Fantastic Four."

That was back in 2000, and even if Marvel had the rights to produce an "Inhumans" movie then, it was improbable. Dave Elliott shared with Bleeding Cool that when Paramount had considered buying the rights to acquire "Inhumans," Marvel discovered that Fox had the rights to the team-based concept as well because they debuted in "The Fantastic Four." They found out about it when they reviewed their contract prior to pursuing the deal.

When they realized it, Marvel pitched the idea of making the "Inhumans" movie to Fox; however, the firm declined.

Well, that all transpired in the past when times were a bit hard for Marvel. These days, however, the firm has much more breathing space. Screenrant reported that the studio is forging ahead with creating the screenplay for the "Inhumans."

Everyone was expecting them to spill some details about the launching date and logo of the team during the Comic-Con in San Diego last July. But the firm kept mum about everything and instead, focused on promoting "Guardians of the Galaxy," which was released this month.

Now everybody knows for a fact that the "Inhumans" will be on the big screen soon. Moreover, rumor has been circulating that the actor who lent his voice to Groot in the aforementioned movie - none other than "Fast and Furious" star Vin Diesel - will be playing the role of Black Bolt, the team's leader, according to the "Inhumans" movie news reported by Screenrant.
