During the screening of "Kill the Messenger", the 43-year old actor was asked by Capitol File (via E! News) if he is already married. Renner answered, "Yes" and he tried to explain why he decided to keep his marriage a secret. Page Six reported him saying, "I have tried to protect my family's privacy, my wife's privacy."
The screen heartthrob also said, "I don't need her to get hammered with my life." He added, "Privacy issues are important because I want her to go about her day without being bothered." Jeremy Renner wanted to protect his baby mama from the paparazzi.
