'Frozen 2' full-length sequel may not be happening but a short film titled Frozen Fever is in the works and it promises to give us similar/better OST.
Garnering approximately $1.2 billion worldwide box office revenue, the 2013 musical fantasy-comedy film Frozen was touted as the highest-grossing animated film of all time. We were previously touched by the concept of true love, but will Frozen Fever present an entirely new approach?
The official synopsis of the short sequel reads: "It's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk."
Aside from the exciting plot of the upcoming short film, Frozen fans are surely keyed up to hear its Official Sound Track. Can these songs compete with last year's Academy Award winner for Best Original Song 'Let It Go', along with other favourite tracks 'Do You Wanna Build A Snowman' and 'Love Is An Open Door'?
The same couple behind the massive hit 'Let It Go' Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez are currently penning a new original song for the mini-sequel. In a recent documentary, the couple shared that it only took them a day and a half to compose 'Let It Go' because they were very much inspired by the character of Elsa.
No definite Frozen Fever release date has been announced yet, but rumors suggest that it may come out just before Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella remake in March 2015.
