"Pixels" release date is confirmed to be set for July 24, 2015 as per IMBD report. Previously, Hollywood Reporter previously said that the Pixels release date, which is starred by "The Wedding Singer" actor, Adam Sandler and "Game Of Thrones" actor, Peter Dinklage, was set for May 15, 2015.

The 3D live-action animated film follows the story of a group of 80s arcade game champions. They will be called for help to defend earth from alien invaders who have misinterpreted our classic arcade games as a declaration of war.Other casts are Josh Gad, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, and Brian Cox.

The reason of moving the date of premiere has not been explained yet. The line-up films in May are "Fury Road", "Pitch Perfect 2", "Spy In", and Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron". All mentioned films are considered competitive ones due to their successful box office.

Since "Pixels" release date falls in July, it will now square off directly against the "Poltergeist" remake and "Trainwreck", starring Amy Schumer.

Related news: Adam Sandler's "The Ridiculous 6" will not push through as the Warner Bros. is no longer in the talks to make this film. As per Hollywood Reporter, the actor has four feature films exclusively for Netflix, and that would make him very busy. Other upcoming films of Sandler are "The Hotel Transylvania 2" and "Pixels". The publication also added there's a possibility of making "Grown Ups 3."
