Last season, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalie (Bree Turner) managed to convince Monroe's parents that they love each other enough to get married despite being of different species. This season, however, things are going to get rough for them. Read on for more 'Grimm' season 4 spoilers!
After their disastrous wedding, Monroe and Rosalie haven't had a chance to really enjoy their marriage yet. They're too busy looking for Nick's cure, and now, they have to deal with Wesens who oppose their union!
"There's a lot of people [in the Wesen world] who have issues with Monroe and Rosalee getting married," Silas Weir Mitchell told The Examiner about the new issue. "I don't think it's going to be as easy as it was convincing [them] that we're okay as it was to convince my parents. So I think there's a target on our backs."
Their inter-Wesen marriage isn't the only thing that's putting them in danger, either. Now that the Wesen world know about Monroe and Rosalee's connection to a Grimm (although they saw the wrong Grimm at the wedding), the newly married couple has been getting warnings about it.
Mitchell further explained, "A lot of things that are smaller in magnitude than having a Grimm be on the altar with you at the wedding have happened that have led to terrible things. So I think, you know, that's a big deal."
He added, "When that gets out in the world not only the inter-Wesen thing but the fact that we're friends with a Grimm and if that gets known it's trouble. So I think it's just going to be ugly."
Their problems won't stop the couple from helping Nick out with his problem though. It's his lack of motivation to get his powers back that will complicate things for them. In previous 'Grimm' season 4 spoilers, it was reported that getting his powers back will be a challenge and a painful experience for Nick.
"There are so many issues [that] arise in the absence of his powers for [them,]" he went on to expound."I love the guy, but now I'm kind of out on a limb, you know."
Their friendship will be strained but not in a "tragic" way.
"He feels bad and I feel bad for feeling angry, and I feel bad for him," he said. "But I'm also scared and angry and it's great. There's a lot of stuff swirling around in the soup."
