The "Winds of Winter" release date may have been leaked online as the launch date for the "Song of Ice and Fire" book 6 has been allegedly set by George R.R Martin to be on October 2015.
According to the report by Comic Central City, George R.R. Martin allegedly told revealed during an HBO "Game of Thrones" press event that he expects the "Winds of Winter" release date to be on October 2015.
"George R.R. Martin told some interviewers at a Game of Thrones press event that he is finally putting the finishing touches on the Winds of Winter. He also said that it would be released sometime on October," wrote Comic Central City.
George R.R Martin's alleged recent statments about the "Winds of Winter" release date may mean that the "Song of Ice and Fire" book 6 may launch alongside the "A Knight of Seven Kingdoms" book on October 2015.
Back in January 2015, the "Winds of Winter" release date was supposed to be pushed back to 2016 and the "A Knight of Seven Kingdoms" would be the only book released on October 2015.
"His publisher confirmed there are no plans for the much-anticipated latest volume from his A Song of Ice and Fire series to appear in 2015. Instead, readers will have to comfort themselves with an illustrated edition of three previously anthologised novellas set in the world of Westeros," wrote The Guardian.
The Guardian then stated, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes place nearly a century before the bloody events of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, when the Iron Throne was still held by the Targaryens. Out in October, it is a compilation of the first three official prequel novellas to the series, The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight, never before collected, and now set for release in a new illustrated edition."
