I'm happy to say that the combination of adorable and terrifying that hooked me last week is still going strong in this week's episodes of Sensory Couple. For a drama that just started, there's a whole lot going on which means we've got a lot to talk about. Woohoo!

Picking up where we left off last week, Cho Rim and Moo Gak happened to stumble upon the trail of the missing model and I hate to say this but all of my worst fears were confirmed when they fished that car out of the river. That poor girl never had a chance. As disturbing it is to know there's a serial killer on the loose, it's more disturbing to me to see a bunch of detectives make light of such a horrific event. Rather than putting aside their differences and stepping up their game in a combined effort to find this "Barcode Killer" these detectives are sitting around, waiting for evidence to fall into their lap, while making sad assumptions and constantly harassing the only person actually trying to solve this horrific case. If it were up to me, every single one of those detectives should be fired for gross negligence but I have absolutely no say whatsoever so I'm forced to sit here and thank my lucky stars these people aren't real. The very idea of having a group of such ridiculous investigators working on any sort of case makes me want to pound my head on my desk. They're just so stupid!

The good news is, Moo Gak and Lieutenant Yeom Mi are actually trying to solve this case and I think they're doing alright, considering they have no support from anyone else in their department. Moo Gak and Cho Rim did a great job of finding the missing model, Yeom Mi was spot on when she said this second murder wasn't done by the Barcode Killer, which means there are at least two (well, three if you count Cho Rim) who actually know what they're doing and are taking this case seriously but that's not really enough to satisfy me. Especially not now that Cho Rim appears to be the next victim!

I suppose I might be getting ahead of myself a little bit, declaring Cho Rim to be the next victim when I have no hard evidence but c'mon! We all know that doctor is as creepy as they come and the writers are doing a really good job of making it look like he's the killer. Which has me thinking... I'm not so sure this creeper of a doctor is actually the killer... Or at least not the only killer. Yes, it's true that he's obviously out to get Cho Rim but there's something about Kwon Jae Hee that doesn't sit right with me. He's very calm and cool and he's not easily ruffled and I don't know... Even when he was crying over his dead girlfriend something didn't feel quite right about him. I'm seriously beginning to wonder if this guy isn't actually the killer. Or maybe he and the doctor are a team? They're something about watching the two of them together that gives me the chills. Maybe it's the fact that Chef Kwon was the one who introduced his girlfriend to the doctor that bothers me or perhaps it's the fact that the chef can spend so much time with the man suspected of killing his girlfriend and not even think twice about it? I don't know... There's just something fishy about these two and I really hate watching Cho Rim spend any amount of time with them. She's so completely trusting of people, she could be playing right into their hands and she'd never know it. At least not until it was too late. Ugh! The very thought makes me shiver!

At least if Cho Rim did go missing, we know Moo Gak would do everything in his power to find her. Oh my goodness! (Pardon me while I squee for just a moment... ) This man is the most adorable thing on the face of the planet! I know we're only four episodes in, which is a bit early for anyone to be admitting feelings, but there's no denying Moo Gak has a thing for Cho Rim (and vice versa) . The way he acts when he's around her, trying so hard to be cold and aloof but at the same time having such moments of sweetness... AUGH! He's such a doll! (Why am I always a sucker for leading men who are cold on the outside but have a heart of gold???) I loved the way Moo Gak reacted when Cho Rim's contact fell out and he saw her as she really was, for the first time. The way he looked at her in that moment... Ugh! He made my heart melt! Of course when he went running after her as she tried to run away... *sigh* Is it too early to say I love Moo Gak? I'm sorry but I just can't help myself, especially not after he told Cho Rim all about his sister's death and the reason why he's lost so many of his senses. By doing this, Moo Gak has given himself and Cho Rim something special, a unique common ground that separates them from the rest of the world and well... That just pairs them together nicely, doesn't it? Not that these two really needed any help in the pairing department... Even Cho Rim's friend can see that there's definitely something going on. It's only a matter of time before either Moo Gak or Cho Rim gather up enough courage to admit they have feelings for the other and I can't' wait for that to happen! (I wonder which side is going to crack first?)

I think the best thing about this show is the interesting balance of seriousness, sweetness and sometimes just plain silliness. The fact that this entire show is based on a serial killer means we've got some pretty intense moments but just when things start to feel a bit too heavy, everything is lightened significantly by the fact our OTP is one of the most adorable out there. The interaction between Moo Gak and Cho Rim is cute and sweet and so much fun to watch, it's sometimes very easy to forget there's a murder lurking in the background. When you add to all of this the fact that Cho Rim is an aspiring comedian who's constantly dragging Moo Gak into her rather theatrical world, you get moments of total goofiness that leave you stuck somewhere between laughing and rolling your eyes. (Well, that's where I find myself anyway.) Personally I could do without the goofball moments but since they're part of Cho Rim's character, I'm willing to let them slide. I have a feeling that as this story progresses those moments of silliness are going to be replaced with moments of terror, especially now that the creepy doctor knows Cho Rim's true identity. I find myself wondering how long it's going to take for this doctor to make his move. Will he make this a long, drawn out thing or will he act right away? I'm also wondering how long Lieutenant Yeom Mi is going to wait before she says something about Cho Rim's true identity. Is she going to confront Cho Rim's dad now that she knows who Cho Rim really is? If she does, how long is it going to take for Cho Rim to find out the truth? Once she knows, how is she going to react? How is Moo Gak going to react once he learns the truth? So much seems to be riding on Cho Rim's true identity, where does this leave the rest of the story? At this point, I honestly have no idea where any of this is headed (with the exception of Cho Rim eventually meeting her parents' killer, that just seems inevitable) and I'm okay with that. A good mystery shouldn't be one that's easily solved so I'm perfectly content to sit back and watch this story unfold, especially if it means I get to enjoy countless moments of OTP cuteness. (Seriously, how can these two be so darn cute!?!)

So tell me, what did you think of this week's episodes? Are you as annoyed with the majority of the police force as I am? Do you think Moo Gak and the Lieutenant are ever going to convince their peers to stop acting like a bunch of know-it-alls and take this serial killer seriously? Are you at all suspicious of Chef Kwon? What do you think of our OTP? Are they really as adorable as I think they are or am I just letting my feels get the better of me? You know I always love hearing from you so be sure to let me know what you're thinking by leaving me a comment below!
