Back hugs make for some of the sweetest scenes in k-dramas. They can signal that first dawning awareness of feelings or serve as a gesture of affectionate reassurance. When Shin Se Kyung gave Park Yoo Chun a back hug on "Sensory Couple," it served as a sweet reminder of all the great back hugs in k-drama history.

Which scenes number among our favorites? There are so many tender sweet ones to choose from. Here are five of our Top Ten:

1. One of our favorite back hug scenes takes place in "Personal Taste" and combines a back hug and a kiss. Lee Min Ho is drying Son Ye Jin's hair and kisses the nape of her neck, then gives he gives her a back hug.

2. Lee Min Ho is good at back hugs. He gave Park Shin Hye two back hugs during "The Heirs." In this rich guy-poor girl love story, he's an heir, albeit the son of a mistress. She's the daughter of the help. But he can't stay away so he catches up to her and hugs her. Another back hug takes place when they are outside and he enfolds her in his coat to keep her warm. Those two actors have chemistry even when they are not facing each other.

3. "Healer" also has two back hug scenes. One takes place on a couch with Ji Chang Wook holding Park Min Young and hugging her. He plays with her hair while she tenderly tends to his stitches. The second takes place when they are sitting on a roof, looking at the starry wintry sky.

4. Park Shin Hye also got a sweet back hug from Lee Jong Suk in "Pinocchio." In that back hug scene she's outside in the cold, shoeless, shivering, trying to pretend she doesn't feel what she is feeling. He gives her sneakers, puts a coat around her, and then when she is ready to walk away, enfolds her in a back hug.

5. And last but not least is the housework back hug scene in "You Who Came From The Stars." Jun Ji Hyun's Hallyu star character is very uncharacteristically doing housework cleaning up Kim Soo Hyun's apartment. Her housekeeping efforts result in the breaking of some of his priceless dishes. He tries to stop her from vacuuming and probably breaking another priceless relic with a back hug, saying, "Stay still, don't do anything."

Viewers breathed in deeply and did not make a move.

Tomorrow we will list the other five back hug scenes that set our hearts aflutter. Which scenes stand out for you? How would you rank these scenes?
