‘The Season of Kkokdu’ Resumes Production + Who Will Play Lee Ji Han’s Role?
"The Season of Kkokdu" is officially back in its filming session after halting its production following the tragic death of Lee Ji Han. The budding singer-actor is among the hundreds of people who died in the Itaewon tragedy that happened in Seoul amid the Halloween festivities.
'The Season of Kkokdu' Resume Filming After Postpning Its Production to Honor Lee Ji Han
In a report cited by Osen, the production team resumed filming today, November 7.
"The drama "The Season of Kkokdu," which stopped filming due to the sad news of the late actor Lee Ji Han, will resume filming today," a representative told the outlet.
The actor is among the supporting cast of the upcoming medical fantasy K-drama which stars Im Soo Hyang, Kim Da Som and will also be Kim Jung Hyun's small screen comeback.
The 16-episode K-drama focuses on the high-ranking grim reaper named Kkok Du (Kim Jung Hyun) who descends upon the world to punish humans.
"The Season of Kkokdu" also features his interaction with a doctor named Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang) who harbors a special ability.
As for the late Lee Ji Han, he took the role of Han Gye Jeol's ex-boyfriend.
Unfortunately, Lee Ji Han got involved in the Itaewon stampede and failed to survive the incident.

Following his untimely death, the production team of "The Season of Kkokdu" have decided to find a new actor to replace Lee Ji Han and is said to have contacted possible actors after making a casting list.
Lee Ji Han's Death
On October 31, right before the clock strikes midnight, around 156 people were killed in the Itaewon tragedy also known as the Halloween crush.
Names and stories of those who died have emerged including Lee Ji Han, a budding actor who reportedly died after saving a girl.
As his family, relatives, friends, and colleagues mourn the passing of the 24-year-old actor, a witness revealed surprising yet heartfelt news about the actor.
Based on the reports cited by various media outlets, a witness revealed that Lee Ji Han was trying to help a girl get out of the crowd. Although he was able to save the girl, he got into an accident, causing his death.
In addition, the actor didn't attend a party in the area and on his way home came to a filming session and had to pass by the area since he lives in Itaewon.
Seemingly, the actor's heroic act was deeply acknowledged by the girl's family and has expressed their gratitude and condolences to the family.
As for Lee Ji Han's mother, she visited the crush site in an alleyway near the Hamilton Hotel and recalled how lovely her son was.
In a report city by a media outlet, the grieving mother said that if his son is an influential person, police authorities would have given him attention.
"What should I do? If Prime Minister Han Deoksoo's son called 112, hundreds of police would have been mobilized," the mother said, expressing her frustrations, adding "but just because we're regular people, does 112 ignore us?"
