Former Single's Inferno" season 2 cast member Kim Jin Young, also known as DEX, announces postponement of his activities due to health issues.

Following his appearance in the popular Nextflix dating reality show, the 28-year-old has been booked and busy with his onscreen projects, with his most recent is the survival reality show "Zombieverse."

During the press conference of the upcoming Netflix TV show, Kim Jin Young wasn't able to join his co-stars who graced the production presentation at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Spotted at the event was PD Moon Sang Don with CP Park Jin Kyung, along with the cast: Lee Si Young, Noh Hong Chul, Park Na Rae, Dindin,Fukutomi Tsuki, Yoo Hee Kwan, Jonathan, Patricia, and Hong Seong Woo.

Kim Jin Young to Take Short Break After Suffering from Aftereffects of COVID-19

According to a news outlet, the reason behind DEX's absence was due to his COVID-19 diagnosis.

"Dex was diagnosed with COVID-19 while on schedule in the United States," a representative told OSEN. Thankfully, he has returned home and fully recovered after taking sufficient measures.

Unfortunately, he is suffering from the aftereffects of COVID-19, which include a loss of voice.

"Therefore, he is going to take a break for a week," the representative added. Despite this, his current and upcoming projects have not been affected by his brief hiatus.

An official from his agency said that the travel show "Adventure by Accident" season 2 aired after filming an overseas trip, while JTBC's "Smiling Boss" has also finished filming.

Kim Jin Young After 'Single's Inferno' Season 2

The 28-year-old was introduced as a former UDT member and YouTuber when he entered Netflix's "Single's Inferno" season 2. He was linked to some of the contestants, including Shin Seul Ki and Lee Nadine.

Besides his charm, Kim Jin Young also gained popularity for looking like BTS' Jungkook.

As mentioned, after his stint on the reality dating show, Kim Jin Young went from being a reality star to a TV host.

Besides his current TV show, he also joined "Bloody Game Season 2" as one of the contestants and also appeared in TVING's "Witch Hunt" season 3 for a cameo role.

Interestingly, one of his upcoming projects is joining the highly anticipated reality show on Netflix.

Kim Jin Young Joins 'Single's Inferno' Season 3

After "Single's Inferno" season 3 got the green light, rumors sparked that a former alum would be joining the upcoming season. However, Netflix officially introduced Kim Jin Young as one of the hosts of the dating reality show.

He will be joining the OG hosts Super Junior's Kyuhun, Lee Da Hee, Han Hae, and Hong Jin Kyung as one of the main MCs.

Although Netflix has yet to announce the target release date of the show, fans are excited to see that a former contestant will become a part of the panel.
