Chun Woo Hee’s Real Age Surprises Netizens: ‘I Thought She Was Around 32’

Chun Woo Hee surprised the viewers with her versatility as an actress after portraying contradicting roles in "The 8 Show" and "The Atypical Family."

Despite being considered by many as an underrated actress, she nonetheless have shown extraordinary performances in "Be Melodramatic," "Delightfully Deceitful," and the movie "Han Gong Ju," where she bagged various achievements like Best New Actress in Film at the 2015 Baeksang Arts Awards as well as the 2014 Blue Dragon Film Awards' Best Leading Actress.

Interestingly, another factor that surprised the viewers was Chun Woo Hee's age.

Born in 1987, she turned 37 on April 20. The actress also posted a celebratory photo on her Instagram, thanking her fans for the birthday wishes. 

On the other hand, Chun Woo Hee's age continues to pique the interest of fans.

In a post, shared on an online community forum, netizens seemed baffled by her age after knowing that she's in her late 30s.

While most of the fans said she only looked like someone in her early 30s or even in her late 20s, others praised the actress' baby face.

There are also some who mentioned that she looked young for her age.

Speaking of age, Chun Woo Hee mentioned that the age difference between her and "The Atypical Family" co-star "bothered" her.

Why Did Jang Ki Yong's Age 'Bother' Chun Woo Hee?

During her appearance in "Salon Drip," together with Jang Ki Yong, the actress talked about their working relationship on the set of the drama.

For the South Korean heartthrob, he revealed that Chun Woo Hee was the senior he had "always wanted to collaborate with."

He went on to describe her as someone who is "so gentle and understanding."

As for the actress, she described Jang Ki Yong as "warm-hearted externally" even the first time she met him.

However, Chun Woo Hee confessed that the age difference used to be her initial concern.

"And it was my first time working with someone younger than me. It bothered me a lot."

As mentioned, Chun Woo Hee is 37, while Jang Ki Yong is 31, making him 6 years her junior.

The singer-actress had to decline the role because she was filming for the movie "Broker" at the time.
