Son Dam-bi's Brave IVF Confessions: Real Story Behind the 7kg Gain Revealed

In the heartfelt video, Son Dam-bi shared her experience with starting IVF treatment.

She candidly revealed details about her journey, including the challenges she faced and the emotions she grappled with.

"My face is very swollen. It's 8:30 in the morning. I need to get up. I started IVF. I thought about it a lot and wondered how to talk about it. The first attempt failed. I'm now on my second attempt, and I'm getting injections. Today is the fourth day of the injections. My husband (Lee Kyu-hyuk) prepared all the injections, but since he's not here today, I'm doing it myself. Of course, it would have been great if it had worked on the first try, but I didn't get too discouraged when it didn't. Considering my age, I didn't have high expectations, but it was still upsetting."

Son Dam-bi disclosed that despite the first IVF attempt being unsuccessful, she and her husband Lee Kyu-hyuk are now on their second attempt.

"My husband and I believe that if we sincerely hope for it, it will happen someday. I got emotional when the first attempt failed. Now that we're on the second attempt, I'm learning a lot from this experience. I wasn't infertile, but considering both my age and my husband's, we decided on IVF. Even though I'm not infertile, the first attempt failed, and I've been learning a lot through this process. It's really not an easy journey. Husbands really need to be supportive."

Acknowledging the difficulties of the process, Son Dam-bi emphasized the importance of support from spouses during IVF treatment.

She highlighted the physical changes she underwent due to the treatment, including weight gain and bruising from injections.

"If the injections are done incorrectly, they can cause bruises. I'm covered in bruises. I gained over 7kg, and it's actually because of the IVF. The doctor said I was too thin during the first attempt and told me to gain some weight. This is the heaviest I've ever been in my life. During IVF, you gain belly fat and swell due to the hormones. There's nothing you can do about it. Don't look in the mirror during this time."
