'Queen Woo' Star Oh Ha Nee Reveals True Feelings on Daring Same-Sex Love Scene in Hit K-Drama

Actress Oh Ha Nee reacted to the public's response about her daring scene she performed in the TVING original historical drama, Queen Woo. 

The drama has been drawing public buzz due to its daring content. In the drama, she plays the role of Sabi, a trusted shaman who advises Goguryeo's 9th king, Go Nam Mu. Sabi uses omens and readings to influence major decisions at the royal court.

The controversial scene is in Episode 2, where Sabi engages in a love scene with Woo Soon, who is Queen Woo's older sister. The scene includes a minute-long explicit footage and portrays Woo Soon being under the influence of a potion administered by Sabee. It caused her to imagine that the shaman is the king.

Oh Ha Nee addressed the public's response to the nude scene, stating, "I've seen the comments, and my friends were surprised as well. I've received many encouraging messages like, 'I really enjoyed it' and 'I've been waiting for this project.'"

She also expressed that the nudity wasn't a concern for her, but she was disappointed that people seemed to focus more on the scene than her acting.

She noted that when she hears feedback about her performance beyond the nudity, it gives her comfort.

Oh Ha Nee, born in 1990, is an actress who appeared in dramas such as The Killing Vote and Perfect Marriage Revenge. She also debuted as an idol before becoming more involved in acting.

TVING's Queen Woo debuted on August 29 with its first part. The finale was released on September 12. It still captures audiences with its daring content.
