According to the Korean news outlet Namdo News, more than 50 billion won (approximately $38 million) has been invested in the production at the first stage of work. This is the largest investment in Korean content.

The streaming service experienced a significant user outflow, with about 2 million people leaving the platform.

Last year, Disney+ secured the creation of the original series "Moving." The project was initially successful and broke viewership records in the entire Asia-Pacific region during its first week of release.

It was reported that 2 million users began to leave the platform.

Disney+ has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with Kang Full, the original creator of the project, according to Namdo News.

Citing Herald Economy, the Korean outlet said that the company and the writer's teams are actively discussing the details of working on the project.

The viewership on several original dramas did not go well.

In particular, recent productions such as Dominant Species and Uncle Samsik did not meet users' expectations.

In August, Disney+ was overtaken by the competition by a good margin: Netflix has 11 million users, Tving has 7.83 million, and Coupang Play has 6.84 million. Disney+ finished last with 2.85 million users.

To attract new viewers, the platform has already introduced a 40% discount on an annual subscription, providing 99,000 won for 59,500.

Eric Schreyer, president of Disney Global Original TV, also said that the company plans to invest heavily in Korean content and create high-quality products with A-lists actors in the main roles.
