Park Shin Hye, who became famous for her roles of very touchy, vulnerable, and strong young ladies, now has to face another challenge of her career.

The South Korean actress stars in the fantasy-legal drama The Judge from Hell, which was premiered on September 21 on Disney+.

In the series, Shin-hye plays the character of Justitia, a representative of the world of demons who resides in the body of the talented Judge Kang Bit Na and aims to send every unrepentant murderers to hell.

At a press conference, Park Shin Hye expressed her excitement about portraying a different version of her professional image.

She said, "I think my fans mostly see me as the girl who never gives up, but preparing for this role was an opportunity for me to go beyond the usual characters I play."

The drama's producer, Park Jin-pyo, noted that Park's character has duality, which made her the perfect fit for the role.

"I needed Shin Hye to be a little evil but still cute, and she managed to do just that," Park commented during the press conference.

According to Shin Hye, Justitia cannot be called a classic villain. "It's rather a bright, shameless character, the appearance of which brings some kind of catharsis.She changes her character overnight and becomes very savage and unsightly," as the actress sums up

. According to Shin-hye, The Judge from Hell will be her second show in 2024 after the completion of Doctor Slump.
