'Love Next Door' Breaks New Television Ratings Record

'Love Next Door' beat the cable competition this weekend and achieved it's highest viewership rating since the premiere on August 17. 'Nielsen Korea' recorded a 7.3 percent rating during its initial time slot, according to a report from 'Soompi.'

'Love Next Door' follows the story of two childhood friends reconnecting in adulthood. Jung Hae In plays the architect, while Jung So Min is the aspiring chef. Their relationship was tested in recent weeks by a health scare. However, the test results come back negative, and we learned it was only inflammation that upset Jung So Min's stomach.

KBS 2TV's 'Beauty and Mr. Romantic' aired its finale and achieved 21.4 percent on broadcast television. 'TV Chosun's 'DNA Lover' and Channel A's 'Cinderella at 2AM' earned 0.8 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively.

'Love Next Door' is a romantic comedy that also stars Kim Ji Eun and Yoon Ji On. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST on tvN. The global audience can stream it on Netflix.
