'Love Next Door' Recap Episode 11: Divorce Is Imminent

Episode 11 starts with a flashback scene to Jung So Min and Jung Hae In's high school days. Jung So Min and Kim Ji Eun decide to give Jung Hae In a cake they made in class. However, his popularity in school makes Jung So Min jealous. She refused to give him a cake and seems to hold a grudge about something. The audience discovers later that Jung So Min helped Jung Hae In excel in his academics after giving up on swimming.

In the present day, Jung Hae In joins Jung So Min's family for breakfast. She requests his assistance in translating a French cookbook. The pair falls asleep during their studies. After a sweet moment is shared between them, Jung Hae In flees out of embarrassment. He and Kim Ji Eun have a comedic moment when she accidentally hits him with the door but kindly gets him an ice pack. Kim Ji Eun immediately runs away after getting an ice pack because she doesn't want her crush Yoon Ji On to see her.

The audience learns that the special milk bottle has expired. Jung So Min bawled after her ex left the country. Jung Hae In is busy working on a new architecture project, while Jung So Min's parents finally support her passion for cooking. Yoon Ji On took time off work to care for his daughter since her babysitter was unavailable. Kim Ji Eun's office is secure for the child, which leaves Yoon Ji On and Kim Ji Eun the opportunity to spend some quality time together. They finally have a heart to heart about the unexpected kiss that happened.

In the midst of a dinner invitation, Jung Hae In finds out that his parents are getting a divorce. He is immediately reminded of their past arguments about moving overseas and regetting his birth. The memory stays with him in the present, and he immediately leaves the dinner table.

He gets drunk at a tent restaurant, and Jung So Min is called to pick him up. He opens up about his jealousy about her perfect family and discloses the news about his parents divorce. When she takes him back to his office, she notices the expired milk carton still in his refrigerator.It will be a month before the parents' divorce is finalized.

Kim Ji Eun dreams about Yoon Ji On being a superhero. She wakes up before they share a perfect Kdrama kiss. In reality, she spends time with his family and consoles his daughter about her sadness regarding her mom's death.

Jung Hae In has been staying at the office after learning about his parents' divorce. LIttle does he know, his mom went missing on the way to the airport. Her illness is revealed to all. They find her after a frantic search and the parents on on their way to possible reconciliation.

While listening to Jung Hae In's cookbook translation, Jung So Min learns he confessed his love for her again. He said his love for her will continue long after the milk expires. She meets up with him and asks him out on a date. The couple share a kiss.

'Love Next Door' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST on tvN. The global audience can stream it on Netflix.
