Episode nine opens with Lee Sang Yi and his secretary playing football with the kids at the orphanage. Han Ji Hyun shows up with many questions about Lee Sang Yi and is anxious to ask the secretary. She finds out he does like her, and the secretary requests she give his boss a chance.

Despite her knowledge of him returning her feelings, she walks away unconvinced that they will have a happy ending together. Lee Sang Yi finally recognizes her as my web writer; his secretary whisks her away and gives her a ride home. There is a mention of her moving soon.

Kim Young Dae and Shin Min Ah have a discussion about her father. She brushes off the subject. While they snuggle up to each other, Lee Sang Yi's secretary comes into their house and asks Kim Young Dae if he's the bastard son of the CEO. Since Kim Young Dae doesn't know his true identity, the secretary demands they both leave the company. Han Ji Hyun is an eyewitness to the scene. Shin Min Ah is convinced that the only way she'd be able to keep her job is if Kim Young Dae becomes Lee Sang Yi's secretary.

The secretary's parents are fighting at home, and the revelation that Kim Young Dae was hired to bring out the best in the secretary. He is only there as competition. 

Kim Young Dae apologizes to Shin Min Ah for bringing all his calamity into her life, but she only sympathizes with him. He worries about their pretend marriage being a mistake, but she reassures him not to worry about that right now. She is elated that all of their secrets have been revealed. Little does she know that Kim Young Dae is still harboring a family secret as he looks at a photo of him as his mom.

While Shin Min Ah is searching labor laws to help Kim Young Dae, the truth about her friend's pregnancy comes to light. She isn't certain who the father is. She asks Han Ji Hyun not to share her news with Shin Min Ah yet.

Kim Young Dae tells Shin Min Ah that he is resigning, but a notice at work announces her demotion and his suspension. Kim Young Dae publicly states that they are getting a divorce, but Lee Sang Yi's secretary doesn't believe that their marriage was real anyway.

The secretary demands Kim Young Dae leave the country or he'll make their lives miserable. Shin Min Ah insists to her admirers that their marriage is real.

The idea of an abortion is discussed between Shin Min Ah's friend and her possible baby's father. Shin Min Ah reassures Kim Young Dae: Do not worry about her. They blow bubbles on a rooftop to brighten the mood.

People in their company are still suspicious of their marriage. Shin Min Ah's new job at work has her going on business trips, shutting down company centers that are performing poorly. Kim Young Dae expresses the desire to spend more time with her and tells her that Han Ji Hyun has been going out quite a bit. Han Ji Hyun is seen renting an apartment.

Lee Sang Yi's secretary meets Han Ji Hyun to apologize for writing negative comments on her web novel's page. He thanks her for using him as an inspiration for her male lead.
