Song Il Gook Addresses Divorce Rumors, Shares How He Won Judge Wife Over Using Tracking Device

Song Il Gook addressed the rumors about his relationship with his wife, a judge, during his appearance in SBS's My Little Old Boy on September 29.

The actor shared that the speculation about his separation and divorce from his better half began after he was transferred to a provincial work assignment. Il-gook added that he had no idea where the rumors had come from since "we're still very much together."

Moreover, when asked, he said he would marry his wife again, admitting that she might be watching the show.Speaking of the current peculiarities in their relationships, the actor said that, as their growing-up triplet was too busy with her school work to move due to her friends, they became a weekend couple, walking together only on Saturday and Sunday.

"During weekdays, familial support is a must," Song reported. "My mother lives near the kids, and my sister and mother-in-law are about a five-minute drive away from our home, so there are no issues. The kids are doing well." 

Song also stated that he had "conquered" his current wife with a location service that could be tracked on her flip phone, which he claimed to have convinced his father:"I thought she'd have some prejudice or bias against me for being a celebrity, so I approached her first," he recalled.

He described an incident where an alarm went off every 30 minutes due to the tracking device, leading him to believe it mistakenly indicated her interest in him.

Furthermore, the actor said his wife was so seriously preparing and doing so responsibly that he had not yet had a problem with his spouse.

Addressing his relationship issues, the actor reported that his wife decided to listen to him and did the same and "use a politely extreme form".

The actor added, laughing, that he calls his wife "Judge" and "Your Honor."At the same time, Song shared that despite being the father of three daughters, he would like to have a late-born daughter.

He revealed that one of his triplet daughters was named to have both a son and a daughter.

The actor also shared that his wife's serious illnesses made childbirth risky, so they had not yet planned to become parents but remain hopeful about expanding their family in the future.
