Girl's Day Member Bang Minah Signs Contract with A-List Agency SM C&C

Minah joins A-list stars Kim Soo Ro, Jun Hyun Moo, KARA's Heo Young Ji, and many more at SM Entertainment's subsidiary SM C&C. News about the new contract was announced yesterday.

She started her music career in 2011 at Dream T Entertainment, which closed down in June 2021. She transitioned to Yooborn Company to focus on her budding acting career.

"We will be working together with actress Bang Minah, who is a true gem," a representative from the agency stated, according to a report from 'Soompi.'

They went on to say, "We plan to provide Bang Minah, who has built up an impressive filmography as an actress, with both material and moral support so that she can broaden and deepen her acting spectrum even further."

Bang Minah's last production was the 2023 action comedy film 'Miss Fortune.' It follows the life story of a woman trying to better herself and her daughter invading a home of a wealthy cultural property broker. The movie also stars Son Byung Ho, Park Ho San, Kim Jae Hwa, and Uhm Jung Hwa.

She is best known for the Kdramas 'Delivery Man,' 'My Absolute Boyfriend,' 'Beautiful Gong Shim,' and 'Sweet, Savage Family.'

Bang Minah debuted as a member of Girl's Day in 2011 and rose to fame with the singles "Ring My Bell," "Twinkle Twinkle," and "Darling."

Girl's Day will always hold a special place in her heart.

"[The members] are my colleagues, my friends, and my unforgettable family. Sometimes people ask me if I'm worried that my time as a girl group member might earn me the label of an [incompetent] actor. I'm sad that they view this part of my life negatively. Girl's Day was and is the foundation of everything I do," she said in an exclusive 2021 interview with 'Korea JoongAng Daily.'

She added, "If given the chance, I would like for us to get together again and sing on stage. We still share various parts about our lives together, the four of us. When any of us start a new project, we like to get together to talk about it."
