Ta Hwan was infuriated at the thought that even Gol Ta betrayed him. He also realized that Gol Ta had collaborated with the empress to get rid of him. Ta Hwan, who already had so much poison in his body, allowed Ki Seung Nyang to rule the empire instead of him. However, Won nation had been attacked and Ta Hwan and Ki Seung Nyang had to run away to the north. Ta Hwan died eventually, and empress Ki had to rule her people by herself, ending the drama as a bloody, sad one.
