The Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls could reportedly both benefit from a deal involving Brandon Bass and restless forward Taj Gibson in a straight swap, according to the latest NBA trade rumors.
Meanwhile, three teams are reportedly eyeing Jamal Crawford, who might be the odd-man out with the signing of Lance Stephenson and the emergence of J.J. Reddick.
According to Brian Rauf of Chat Sports, the Los Angeles Lakers have always been interested in Taj Gibson and have even sent feelers to Chicago Bulls management for a possible trade back in the 2013-2014 season.
"The problem here is that Gibson is slotted into a normal power forward role, but he does have the flexibility to play at the 3 and he'd come at a relatively cheap $8.95 million rate for the 2015-16 campaign," it said.
"Bass and second-year power foward Julius Randle are both offensively minded players, so swapping Bass for Gibson's defense while giving Randle more playing time would be a great move."
Taj Gibson, meanwhile, won the starting slot over Carlos Boozer for a while and he thrived, only to see the Chicago Bulls sign two-time champion Pau Gasol.
The NBA trade rumors are silent between the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls mainly because Brandon Bass couldn't be shipped to another team until mid-December.
Meanwhile, three teams are reportedly interested in the services of former sixth man of the year, Jamal Crawford. They are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and the New York Knicks, said the report.
In the 2014-2015 season, Jamal Crawford averaged 15.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game and should provide any bench the necessary scoring punch, because the 6-6 guard can quickly get hot from the outside.
