Lamar Odom has reportedly been moved out of the ICU after waking up from coma, but his condition is still very fragile and can deteriorate at any moment's notice.
Neurologist Dr. Harshpal Singh told Hollywood Life that if the reports about Khloe Kardashian's ex overdosing on cocaine are true, then he's not out of the woods yet.
"Cocaine is a vein constrictor and causes veins to shrink down," he said. "When blood vessels shrink down, it can give you a heart attack. It can prevent oxygen from getting to the brain because oxygen goes through the blood to the brain tissue."
"It's a very real possibility that he could take a turn for the worst."
In another report, E! News claimed that doctors are closely monitoring Lamar Odom's condition because this is danger time even if he's "heading in the right direction."
"This is great progress but there is always the possibility for setbacks," the source said.
Khloe Kardashian's ex was found unconscious inside the Las Vegas brothel room that he reportedly paid $75,000 for. After intubated at a local hospital, he was transferred to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he's now recuperating.
Multiple reports claimed that the "KUWTK" star was at his bedside keeping vigil while Lamar Odom was in coma, and she only left him one time during the course of his deep slumber. The two are still technically married as their divorce wasn't finalized by the judge just yet.
The entertainment news site also provided an update on Lamar Odom's condition.
"We've also learned that Odom was helped out of bed for the first time since being hospitalized Tuesday night," it said. "He was moved with assistance into a chair and his breathing showed no signs of distress. He continues to wear a mask to aid the flow of oxygen but he's breathing on his own."
