"She Was Pretty" continues to demonstrate its supremacy as one of the most beloved series of 2015, with ratings that are swiftly approaching 20 percent. According to Nielsen Korea, the 11th episode of the MBC romantic comedy recorded 17.7 percent in nationwide viewership, increasing 0.4 percent.
The series experienced its lowest ratings when it premiered with 4.8 percent on September 16, but it continues to rack up viewers, with the October 22 episode yielding its highest ratings to date.
In the 11th episode, Kim Hye Jin (Hwang Jung Eum) chose friendship over romance. She avoided growing closer to Ji Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon), after discovering that her best friend and roommate, Min Ha Ri (Go Joon Hee), truly loved him.
Sung Joon challenged Hye Jin to look beyond her relationship with Ha Ri and to embrace him as a love interest.
Kim Shin Hyuk (Super Junior's Choi Siwon) started seeking employment with a different magazine, citing the lack of excitement at the Most, as he nursed a broken heart for Hye Jin.
While Hye Jin was willing to sacrifice her budding relationship with Sung Joon, Ha Ri fled from their apartment in an attempt to avoid conflict and start a new life.
As the love line continues to develop, "She Was Pretty" struggles with the difficult task of increasing the relatability of the first lead, Park Seo Joon, as viewers show their affection for Choi Siwon.
It is rare for the second male lead to end up with the first female, but audiences continue to express their desire to see the popular Super Junior member with Hwang Jung Eum, in the finale.
The KBS2 period series, "The Merchant Gaekju 2015," experienced an increase in ratings. The drama returned to its double-digit status with 10.9.
SBS' supernatural crime drama, "The Village: Achiara's Secret" recorded 5.2 percent.
