Christina Aguilera will repportedly be back as mentor for "The Voice" next season, amid the alleged budding romance between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani that reportedly had the producers worried.
The news about Christina Aguilera returning to "The Voice" was confirmed by Paul Telegdy, NBC president of late night and alternative programming.
"The coaches on The Voice continue to bring incredible energy, unrivaled musical expertise and a want-to-win attitude that makes for the perfect ingredients of a two-time Emmy-winning show," he said. "We can't wait to see what season 10 will bring."
But even with Christina Aguilera's return, Blake Shelton's rumored new flame, Gwen Stefani, said that she's not done with "The Voice" and would gladly come back if the opportunity arises.
"They're all so smart, they're all lovely. They all got my back. I love them," she said of her co-judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams.
When prodded to reveal whom she will choose as a coach if she were a contestant in "The Voice," Gwen Stefani laughed as she declined to give an answer.
"But I would say, I know that I've worked with Pharrell before and I know what that feels like. I've worked with Adam and I know what that feels like," she added. "I've never worked with Blake so I don't know what that would be like, but I do know that me and Blake have a lot of similar tastes in people, in voices, which is a shock."
Clearly, Gwen Stefani doesn't mind all the rumors surrounding her and Blake Shelton as the two allegedly have sparked romance on "The Voice" which worried producers that it might spill over onto the set and cause friction.
In fact, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundy claimed, this is the reason why Christina Aguilera will come back to "The Voice."
"'The Voice' producers obviously encourage some flirting and banter between the judges - it makes for good TV," it said. "But, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani actually hooking up on the set could lead to some serious problems among the cast and crew."
