Trade rumors are flying about the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers considering a blockbuster trade between Derrick Rose and sophomore Jordan Clarkson, a young guard on the rise following a breakout NBA 2014-2015 season.
The latest rumor mill was first broached by Marc Cantave of Sportsblog, per Yibada, who claimed that the Chicago Bulls have offered the former MVP to the Los Angeles Lakers for Clarkson, Nick Young and Lou Williams.
Accordingly, the latest NBA trade rumor was prompted by the team having tired of the injury-prone Derrick Rose, as well as the alleged friction between him and rising star, Jimmy Butler.
"Rose, who had only played 100 regular season games for the Bulls in the last three years, reportedly still has blurry vision and if his eyesight will not be back to normal," Yibada noted. "Then head coach Fred Hoiberg is not keen on fielding him even during practice sessions."
But the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly balking at the number of players they have to give up for an injured Derrick Rose, especially since Lou Williams, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson have proven in the preseason games that they can play together.
Both teams have not yet issued any statement confirming or denying the latest rumor.
In other NBA trade rumors, Jared Sullinger is reportedly on the out due to the glut of forwards in the Boston Celtics roster.
According to Sports World, Jared Sullinger will be fighting for minutes with veteran David Lee, Tyler Zeller, Amir Johnson and Kelly Olynyk.
In a recent interview for ESPN, however, Jared Sullinger refused to be bated into forming some sort of rivalry with the other forwards on the team just to make the roster.
"I'm not here to make it a rivalry between me, Amir, Tyler, Kelly, Jonas [Jerebko] or D-Lee," he said. "My biggest thing is I just want us to win. If that's me cutting back my minutes, that's me cutting back my minutes, but the ultimate goal is to win basketball games."
