NBA trade rumors

Nick Young's contract is reportedly very attractive, which means that he probably won't last a season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Meanwhile, NBA trade rumors continue to surround the purple and gold and the Chicago Bulls over Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose.

According to Grantland, Nick Young-despite his shoot-first mentality-still holds some attraction to the rest of the league because of his size at 6'7" and his ability to let it fly from the rainbow.

"Young is a punch line, but his $5.3 million-per-year deal will look teensy as the cap leaps, and he still shot 37 percent from deep in an embarrassing season with the Lakers," the article said. "He's serviceable on defense when he cares. He might be able to play a role on a good team that can reach him."

The gunner, of course, will spend most of his time at the three because of the glut in the two position for the Los Angeles Lakers with the emergence of Jordan Clarkson and the signing of Lou Williams, also with the surprising performance of Martin Huertas which allows D'Angelo Russell to slide at the two if needed.

But then again, Kobe Bryant is expected to take a lot of minutes at the small forward position and there's also Metta World Peace who can be a reliever at the three and four, so minutes are hard to come by for Nick Young.

Meanwhile, the NBA trade rumors surrounding Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose won't seem to die down.

While Taj Gibson could be had because the hardworking forward is reportedly not contented with the minutes he's getting, trading for a franchise player like Derrick Rose won't be as easy.

According to Christian Today, a straight-up trade is not feasible because of Derrick Rose's "astronomical salary."

That means the Lakers might throw in Jordan Clarkson, D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle into the mix.

"While it is true that the Bulls could, at some point, consider a trade, the Lakers may be too wise to give up their young core for a single player, no matter how much he has achieved," it said.

Watch out for more NBA trade rumors which will be published here when they come along.
