Brad Pitt belied the rumors regarding marriage troubles with Angelina Jolie while filming "By The Sea" as the actor gushed that he trusts his wife with his life.

The "Fight Club" actor talked to V magazine as he hinted of some stress in collaborating with Angelina Jolie for the film, "By The Sea."

"It was probably not the wisest thing to spend a honeymoon but then again," he quipped. fighting to make something together... what better metaphor for marriage? It's not a film that responds to the current zeitgeist or storytelling - rather, a quiet, mature look at the challenges of love and adult loss."

"By The Sea" is written and directed by Angelina Jolie and it tells of the story of Roland, an American writer, and his wife, Vanessa, a former dancer, who try to save their marriage by going to a French resort. "They seem to be growing apart, but when they linger in one quiet, seaside town they begin to draw close to some of its more vibrant inhabitants, such as a local bar/café-keeper and a hotel owner," the synopsis said.

"It's surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife," Brad Pitt told V. "She's decisive, incredibly intuitive, and might I say sexy at her post. I trust her with my life."

Previously, Angelina Jolie claimed that the events depicted in "By The Sea" and the troubles between the two characters in the film are not based on her own marriage.

"It's not autobiographical," she told Vogue. "Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters' were even remotely close to our problems, we couldn't have made the film."

She continued, "This is the only film I've done that is completely based on my own crazy mind. When I was writing it, I never assumed we'd actually do it."

"As artists we wanted something that took us out of our comfort zones. . .Just being raw actors. It's not the safest idea. But life is short," Angelina Jolie said on working with Brad Pitt for "By The Sea."
