Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan played coy about the band's rumored new album.

Rolling Stone caught up with the Puscifer vocalist for any update about Tool's latest album.

"They're working hard in their own way," he said. "I'm working hard in my own way, and I've got nothin' for ya."

After the band hurdled the eight-year legal tussle concerning an insurance, the hype about a new album hit the Internet.

But Maynard James Keenan took that hiatus to work on the band Puscifer and the Arizona-based rock band will release its latest album called "Money Shot" on Oct. 30 under its own label.

"As is the Modus Operandi of PUSCIFER, there will be a whole new show to accompany the 'Money Shot' release," the Tool frontman told Blabbermouth. "We've been leaving a few clues here and there as to what it may entail."

"As usual, we prefer to show rather than tell. Odds are if you've been a fan of the diverse nature of our performances in the past, you'll want to go ahead and place those bets," he said.

If that's not enough to impact on Tool's new album, Puscifer will gon on a six-week tour which will kick off on Nov. 1 at the Monster Mash in Phoenix, Arizona.

However, there's hope yet for Tool's new album.

"During their Halloween set at Tempe's Monster Mash, they provided a possible preview of what's to come with the debut of an instrumental track which some fans have dubbed, 'Descending,'" Consequence of Sound noted.

It added, "As Maynard James Keenan typically waits toward the end of the recording process to add lyrics, it's certainly possible we'll hear these riffs on the follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days - that's if it ever does see release."

Adam Jones, the guitarist for the band, had said that Tool is working on its new album and already completed one track, in the hope of releasing the follow up to "10,000 Days" back in 2006 by the end of the year.
