Lil Wayne is living the fast life as a rapper, but his money troubles are apparent when his Miami home was recently raided by authorities after he allegedly failed to pay around $2 million in debts to a jet leasing firm.
The raid was ordered by a Miami-Dade county judge who ruled in favor of the jet leasing company and told the sheriff to seize whatever property of Christina Milian's boyfriend that can be confiscated.
According to Gossip Cop, Lil Wayne's security even tried to bar the authorities from entering the mansion, but the police officers destroyed the locks.
"Signature Group sued Wayne for failing to pay millions for his Gulfstream jet, which he leased at $55,000-a-month," it said. "A judge later ruled that the rapper would have to pay $2 million in late and legal fees. Wayne has been uncooperative in the matter, and so Sheriff's deputies were authorized to break into the property and confiscate his valuables."
This wasn't the first time that Lil Wayne encountered some money troubles.
Last year, it was reported that Weezy owed the IRS some $12 million in taxes.
"According to a tax lien -- obtained by TMZ-- Weezy failed to pay taxes for 2011 and 2012. For 2011 he owes a staggering $5,843,952. And for the following year, even worse -- $6,311,132."
"Wayne has had his financial issues. He owed $7 mil for back taxes in 2008 - 9, but he cleared the debt in 2012," it added. "He's also had legal issues. In 2012 ... Wayne famously lost a case against Quincy Jones' son after thumbing his nose at the court. A jury socked Wayne for $2.2 mil."
To date, Lil Wayne has yet to issue a statement regarding his recent money troubles and the raid on his Miami home. The rapper sued Birdman as Christina Milian's boyfriend claimed that the music producer owes him $50 million for "Tha Carter V."
