Robin Thicke might have finalized their divorce but they remained good friends as proven by the tight hug they gave each other while supporting the soccer match of their son, Julian, on Sunday.

"Paula and Robin were there to celebrate the special occasion as their son proudly received a soccer trophy award," Daily Mail said.

"The good thing is when you have that long of a friendship and you have a child, you can put that first," Robin Thicke told Andy Cohen in "Watch What Happens Live." "The most important thing is giving him (Julian) a healthy, happy life."

Back in August, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton were a picture of amicable exes as they both took their son, Julian, to a soccer game.

"The two reunited to take Julian to soccer practice in Malibu, Ca., and he certainly dressed the part in this neon green Nike shirt! Paula kept her look simple in a white shirt and shorts, protecting her face from the sun with a straw hat," reported OK!.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton finalized their divorce in April this year.

"The terms of the settlement are private," TMZ reported. "There's an indication from the legal docs Paula is getting primary custody, but it's not spelled out specifically. They've also agreed on the terms of spousal and child support."

The "Blurred Lines" singer is now dating model April Love Geary, who seems to be getting along with Julian based on various vacation photos with Robin Thicke.

Back in March, Paula Patton talked about the challenges of divorce, but she also credited son Julian for healing her fractured relationship with Robin Thicke.

"The thing is, you can't wallow in sadness or stay in bed when you have a child. And they're so full of life and wonder. And he brings me so much joy," she told Good Morning America. "Usually the positive in your life outweighs that. And you have to just be thankful for what you have right now."
