Did Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed finally find peace now that Nina Dobrev's chance of going back to "The Vampire Diaries" have gone from slim to none?
Nina Dobrev has scored some gigs since her exit from "The Vampire Diaries."
Ian Somerhalder's ex will be seen in the campy comedy, "The Final Girls," which is a parody on horror movies. She's also included in the cast of "Arrivals" with Maisie Williams, which is due in 2016.
The synopsis reads, "An American hypochondriac who is working as a baggage handler at the Cape Town airport is forced to confront his fears when a British teenager with a terminal illness enlists him to help her carry out her eccentric bucket list."
There were also reports that Nina Dobrev was also shortlisted for "The Notebook" TV series, which will be produced by Nicholas Sparks.
It's been widely rumored that there's been a lot of tension on the set of "The Vampire Diaries" between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, particularly since Nikki Reed allegedly disapproved of any romantic scenes between the two ex-lovers.
There's also the rumor that Nina Dobrev was angry at Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed for their alleged betrayal when her ex-boyfriend shacked up with her friend.
But a quiet life might not be in the horizon for Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed because their marriage is allegedly in danger of imploding over disagreements about having a baby.
According to OK! magazine, "The Vampire Diaries" actor and the "Twilight" actress are not seeing eye-to-eye on expanding their family.
"They're arguing a lot," the insider claimed. "Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now."
"Since walking down the aisle five months ago, Ian has been wanting a child," the magazine claimed. "But the 27-year-old actress is constantly making excuses as to why it is too soon for her to have a baby. Her main reasons are because she wants to travel and focus on work."
