Microsoft launched a new update "Threshold 2" last week for the Windows 10 operating system, according to the Official Windows Blog. The new update has been made available for personal computers as well as Tablets and promises to provide a mind boggling experience to its users.

According to the official blog, the update comes free of cost to those who already have Windows 10 devices and also for the users for Windows seven and Windows eight. The update provides improvements in different areas of the operating system increasing the device's performance, usability and portability.

The most attractive feature of the new update is that users can now shares multimedia files like audio and video clips through cloud sharing application "Cortana," without having to download Skype and other similar applications. "Cortana" also helps users to set reminders, track events and book movies at a go. This feature is available for the users in India, Canada ,Australia and Japan, reported Forbes.com.

The boot time required for the operating system to load has also been updated which is now 30 percent faster as compared to Windows 7. The update also has includes improvements in Microsoft edge features. The users can now just point the arrow over other open apps without having to exit the current page and also try the same feature to overlook other open windows.

The computer's last known location can also be discerned with improvements in the security section of the Windows 10.Also, applications and programs can now be installed on a separate USB device.

The time zones for different countries will automatically change with the new update for users who visit different time zones. With security and performance improvements, the update also provides enhancements for OneNote, Solitaire, Calendar, Photos and many more applications of the operating system, according to Forbes.com .
