Farrah Abraham news reported how the "Teen Mom" star admitted that she was abused by her parents.
According to a report from Us Weekly, the controversial reality star opened up about her painful childhood.
After her interview on Brandi Glanville's podcast "Unfiltered," Farrah Abraham made news for detailing how her now-divorced parents, Debra Danielson and Michael Abraham, used to physically abuse her growing up.
The 24-year-old said she used to get beat with a belt as a child, leaving her with welts all over her body.
"At that time we really didn't [have a relationship] because of some of the abusive things that had happened," Farrah Abraham said.
"My parents [even] got put into jail, both my mom and my dad."
Now a single mother to six-year-old Sophia, Farrah Abraham said she began to understand her parents more after they went through therapy.
"That's some of the therapy that we share and we go through," she said. "I think there's different parenting styles."
Farrah Abraham's interview was also reported by Perez Hilton, wherein she clarified that she already forgave her parents.
"My family and I have such a different dynamic now," Farrah Abraham shared.
"We've talked through a lot of our abuse. Not everyone's a perfect parent, but we do learn and we grow from that."
"I'm not trying to be harsh on my family because it does make them sad to think back about how they used to be and some of their choices," she added.
Prior to her interview about being abused as a child, Farrah Abraham recently made news when her father defended her past.
Per a report from OK Magazine, Michael Abraham shot back against those who have been calling his daughter a porn star because of her sex tapes that were released years ago.
"Farrah is not a porn star," he said. "A porn star is a person that has made countless adult movies and works and invests major time in that industry to make more and more movies."
"Yes, Farrah's adult movies are some of the highest money-earning videos in history, but she is not a porn star," added Farrah Abraham's dad.
