Fans awaiting the "Final Fantasy XV" won't have to hold their collective breaths as the release date will likely be next year, or probably in the fall. A PC version also was confirmed for the game.

Yibada noted that Square Enix posted a job offer, "this time they will need someone the handle the game's promotion and marketing duties for 'Final Fantasy XV' within the duration of 12 months, hinting that the game's launch date could happen in the Fall 2016."

Cinema Blend, meanwhile, said that "Final Fantasy XV" may be coming to PC, referring to the job offer posted by Square Enix which read:

"Online management, game production around billing, management experience and game system design of knowledge · PC games interests, play experience."

An earlier report from GameSpot quoted director Hajime Tabata as saying that they are hard at work to finish the game according to the timeline.

"At the very least, I can tell you that it isn't going to be released this year. I think we'll be able to tell you when we're making the announcement around PAX Prime, at the end of this month," he said. "We can certainly say to people: it's not going to be 2017. It's going to be before that."

Tabata has asked the PR team for a news blackout on the "Final Fantasy XV" release date up until they can finish the western version.

"Development update! The pre-beta version of #FFXV is complete. For the past 6 months we have focused on crossing this line," he wrote on Twitter, per Playstation Lifestyle.

"At my request PR and publicity has been relatively quiet recently to allow us to focus on finishing this stage of #FFXV development. We're making great progress towards #FFXV and our big event next March will reveal lots more. Hope you're looking forward to it," Hajime added.
