Chris Brown joked on Instagram about an Asian dancer, but got called out by ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
According to a report from Urban Islandz, the former couple seem to still be shading each other via social media after Chris Brown's recent Instagram videos.
One clip was taken from the set of the R&B star's music video, where an Asian female is seen dancing very awkwardly in the background.
"Check out BAE on the left," Chris Brown jokingly captioned the Instagram post.
Fans of the "Liquor" singer began to tag Karrueche Tran on the post's comments section. The part-Vietnamese beauty then posted her own Instagram clip that seemed to scoff at her ex-boyfriend's antics.
"To be petty or to not be petty? That is the question," the aspiring model-actress said in her video.
The report also speculated that Karrueche Tran might have gotten offended by another post, which showed Chris Brown in a studio singing about what seemed to be a message to her.
"I remember when we used to be in love," the Grammy winner sang. "Now you're Hollywood, trying to get your name up."
"Now when I look at you, all I see is a stranger," he added.
Prior to throwing shade on social media, BBC Newsbeat reported about how Karrueche Tran blamed their five-year relationship from hindering her from getting work.
"Now that I am trying to focus on my career and get my stuff together, I [still] have to clear up certain things," she shared.
"Negative stuff was being said and being brought up. A lot of people were like 'she's only famous because of Chris Brown.'"
According to Latin Post, people close to Chris Brown said Karrueche Tran should stop talking about her famous ex-boyfriend just to get publicity.
"Let's be clear about it: there would be no Karrueche Tran if she didn't date Chris Brown," an insider pointed out.
"The world would not know who Karrueche Tran is if she didn't injected herself into Chris' life after the Rihanna incident. So for [her] to come around now and blame Breezy for her troubles in the business is disgusting."
"She should be thanking [Chris] for making her famous and stop bashing him for her misfortune," the insider added.
