Giuliana Rancic avoided Zendaya Coleman at the recently concluded American Music Awards (AMAs). According to a report from Daily Mail, a co-host replaced the "Fashion Police" mainstay when it was time to interview the "KC Undercover" star.
E! personality Terrence Jenkins stepped in for Giuliana Rancic before Zendaya's red carpet interview. The Disney talent wore a pink lace mini dress and matching pumps, with her dark hair neatly styled straight.
Zendaya and host Terrence Jenkins casually chatted on the red carpet before Giuliana Rancic continued with her other celebrity interviews.
A previous report from Hollywood Reporter detailed how Giuliana Rancic dissed Zendaya during the Oscars 2015 red carpet review of "Fashion Police."
During the said episode, the 41-year-old host called out the singer-actress for styling her hair in dreadlocks during a formal event.
"I feel like she smells like patchouli oil ... or maybe weed," Giuliana Rancic scoffed.
After getting criticized by disappointed viewers for her alleged racist slur, the wife of Bill Rancic eventually gave a live apology on E! News.
However, Zendaya's friend and former "Fashion Police" host Kelly Osbourne got so upset with Giuliana Rancic. The daughter of rock royalty Ozzy Osbourne ranted about the issue on social media before eventually resigning from the hit fashion critique series.
"I do not condone racism," Kelly Osbourne said before resigning. "I am seriously questioning staying on the show."
In spite of Kelly Osbourne's stubbornness, the apology of Giuliana Rancic was accepted by Zendaya.
Per a report from Us Weekly, the 18-year-old explained how she wants everyone to move forward from the controversy.
"I just hope they learn and grow from it and are able to make a positive change with their show," Zendaya said about "Fashion Police."
"Hopefully [they're] able to take a more positive spin and we're all able to learn from it at the same time."
