Fans monitoring latest news stories about Josh Duggar and his family may have been surprised over Jim Bob's latest open letter for father like him.
Due to the content of the letter, there are speculations that Jim Bob might be expressing frustration over the recent events in the life of his eldest son, Josh Duggar.
Was Jim Bob's open letter a piece of advise to fathers on how not to raise a kid like Josh who has been involved in a sex molestation scandal and an Ashley Madison cheating scandal?
"Start protecting your family by removing books, magazines, television, or Internet that have worldly or sensual content," the former "19 Kids and Counting" patriarch wrote in the piece posted in their family website.
"Replace them with good things like wholesome music, biographies of great Christians, good old-fashioned family fun and games. Love God with your whole heart and look for opportunities to serve others as a family and tell others about our Saviour."
Before the latest news update about Jim Bob's piece, it has been previously reported that the "19 Kids and Counting" allegedly refused to visit Josh Duggar at an addiction recovery facility in Rockford, Illinois.
The eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle's kids purportedly entered the facility on August 25.
"The Duggar family airplane, piloted by second-eldest son John David Duggar, dropped Josh off in Rockford just after midnight in the wee hours of August 25, after a one-and-a-half-hour flight," Inquisitr previously wrote in a news report.
"Josh is currently living at Reformers Unanimous, a boarding facility mostly for drug addicts and alcoholics who wish to turn their lives around. There are no doctors there and no psychiatrists to give professional assistance."
According to the report, Reformers Unanimous may have a different approach to addiction recovery, compared to other rehab facilities.
"Boarders quit cold turkey, while donating 40 - 50 hours a week in unpaid, supervised work, in what the school labels a 'work therapy program.' In addition, every addict is required to participate in Bible studies for 34 hours each week. The school calls itself an 'addiction recovery program,' not a rehab," the news article said.
