"Google Image Search" just got more interesting with its latest additional feature for all the iOS and Android mobile users in US, according to Tech Crunch.

The new feature helps the users to save their favorite images from the "Google Image Search" with the help of star or bookmark option on the image.

Earlier if the users wanted to save any image, then they had to save the whole web page or take a screenshot of the picture. The users would now be able to access their starred or bookmarked pictures easily, without having to search for the same images again.

According to Tech Times, Google has added a "pencil" shaped edit icon to all their images which would help the entire Android mobile users to save their searched pictures in a folder, by just tapping on it.

"Create a grouping such as haircuts for the winter or snowman ideas and your image will be added to a folder with similar ones," quoted Google on its official blog post.

The users have to first login to their Google account to avail this new service from the technology giant. Google has added this additional feature so as to lure more users in its Google+ libraries, reported CNET.

This new offering from Google is a strategic move to give tough competition to Pinterest, mobile application company. Pinterest also offers the same service, which offers all its mobile application users to save images while browsing.

With the new service, Google has also given a head start to its "Google + Collections," which will motivate all its users to be a part of online communities.

This feature will also make it easy for the users to share their favorite pictures online or in their circle of friends, without actually signing up for the social media accounts, reported The Verge.
